I have checked the Numrich site and what I believe are the correct parts are listed as (of course) "out of stock" :

https://www.gunpartscorp.com/gun-manufacturer/hr/revolvers-hr/999

(#27, 7/32" and #37A)

Called them and they said they might have these in the future at some point.... maybe...

Any suggestions about additional sources?

I saw some reference to TIG welding a blob onto the hammer and shaping it, then hardening... seems beyond what could easily be done.

I think that's a frame-mounted firing pin on that model, if I'm interpreting the schematic properly. It's seated against a very small spring and held in place by a very small cross pin. Maybe it's still in there and you overlooked it?

repair1.jpg Thanks for the replies. The hammer is 7/32" in width. It seems that quite a few variations were manufactured - the serial number prefix on the frame is "S" which I believe to be early 1950s manufacture. In the lower image a small, sharp nub is visible (1), and directly below this the light grey area seems to be where some metal has broken off (2). In the upper image the head of the hammer spring rod is visible in the red square. There is an odd wear pattern - 2 bright stripes (1) - and the tips of the arc are bent over (2). I believe the rod was not engaging the hammer correctly as it appeared to be jammed, perhaps because the guide seat was missing. As the parts are all within the frame there is no way to see their action when installed.
