Well, I came home with a pound of H380 because it was available and because I had heard it mentioned along with the 7-08 in a favorable way. Actually, it was the first reloading powder that I have seen lately that I might be able to use. They also had some Accurate 4350 for sale. So, I was wondering about your experience with this powder and 120-140 grain bullets? What say you? Maybe I should grab a pound of that Accurate 4350, too?
Thanks...

I've not used it in 7-08 but it should be great for it.

When you see how good it meters, you won't want to use any other powder. It's butter smooth. Set the powder measure and you can load for hours without touching it. And tricklers are flat out not needed with it. It will throw spot on, every time.

I'm a fan of the powder if you haven't noticed. :)

For 140gr and less it is the stuff that will get you accused of being a LIAR! It works great. Your gonna wish you'd got 8lbs. Meters so nice!

I have not used the Accurate version of 4350 but IMR and H versions work good. I use RL17 under 139gr+ it is on par with the 4350 burn rate with added velocity and it is less heat sensitive.

Back in the '80's, a lot of the metallic silhouette shooters used H380 with the 140gr GameKing in the 7mm08. Later, the 150gr GameKing and the 162gr MatchKing.

However, my 7mm08 doesn't care for H380. IMR4350 and RL17 give me the best results. However H4350 and H414 have been good, too.

If your rifle shoots the H380 well, its a good powder... However, I suspect that the Acc.4350 would be better for hunting loads (higher velocities).
