I recently ran across a sxs double barrel shotgun with the brand name “Habichtâ€. It appears to be of decent quality and workmanship. It has some engraving with blued barrels and a case colored receiver. Does anybody know anything about this manufacturer and this make of shotgun. Thanks

Hi, welcome to the High Road.

Only thing I could come up with about a Habicht shotgun is that it is made in spain. Maybe someone else will have some info on them.

Sorry to resurrect this ancient thread, but there are a few manufacturers that have built shotguns under the "Habicht" tradename; "habicht" is German for "hawk", and both Sauer and Laurona have produced shotguns under this name. Sauer used this name for their line of less-expensive prewar side by sides (and also made a line of side by side hammer guns under the "reiher"/"heron" tradename), and Laurona made an equivalent gun after the war. Hope this helps.
