I was at the range doing a little stree relief. Fired various guns and was having a good ole time. However I fired approx 200 rounds through my Browning BDA and had one round FTF first strike. The round in question was a Remington cheap green box ball. The round was approx 7-8 in the mag. All rounds before fired fine then click. I pulled the trigger DA and the round went off with the 2nd strike of the pin. Has anyone had any experience with this? This is my CCW gun and I am a little freaked out that a round failed to fire. I shot approx another 100 or so rounds after the problem without a hiccup. Also these are not my defensive rounds I am using Winchester PDX1 95 grain for CCW. Also the gun was spit shinned prior to range session clean and properly lubricated. Overall I am pretty meticulus about the condition this gun is kept in. Any ideas?

hard primer most likely, or a deep one. a kernal of powder or primer residue or jacket material in the firing pin hole could do it too.

keep it clean, use good ammo, and change your springs at regular intervals and you have the best chance of it working when you need it.

After 200 rounds without cleaning it is not unusual to have hiccup. Could be a lot of reasons. Most of them have to do with dirt.
