Well, we "gotta" have something else interesting to talk about from time to time other than Ford vs Chevy Reloading Presses..~~ :)

Plus I was looking at my book shelf of reloading manuals and thought I could buy a new $40k truck if I sold them all for that price each.....

Dream on hu?

TxD

Did anyone notice that the press is listed under:

Consumer Electronics

Not under Reloading Presses!!

I asked my wife who sells on ebay, she said lotsa folks raise prices crazy high when they run out of stock to prevent you from buying. They have a storefront option over there, not all auctions anymore.

I was telling people to buy reloading manuals before they run out. I have a storage unit just full of manuals. Might be worth $1,002 today... But you wait till after the apocalypse. Sky is the limit $.

And people were calling me a fool.

What Stingsdontit said.

I am not an internet re-seller. My understanding is that if you have a store front, that Ebay either charges extra to close it, or charges extra to re-open. Maybe someone in the know can explain better.

So the resellers put ridiculous prices on an item they are out of, until they have new stock.

Stompah, I have some manuals form the 70's, they are not worth $1002 each, but they could be worth hundereds!

I will hold to them for the apocalypse. :uhoh:

Guys guys guys, his wife is making him get out of reloading. He is selling at a price no one will buy..."well babe...I put it on ebay but no one would buy it!"

Sometimes these guys set these kind of prices when they are temporarily out of stock, knowing no one will order. Something to do with keeping their ad current or something.

When in doubt... check em' out.
I bought my last manual, a Lyman 49th edition at Wal-Mart. I got the hard cover edition for $25. The soft cover one is $18. They trucked it in 3 days after I ordered it on line. NO SHIPPING FEES! My only other resort was paying $28 and shipping.... go figure!

What you are seeing is an administrative trick to 'pause' a listing without deactivating it
He either is on his last one, so he jacked up the price until he gets his next shipment so that his listing doesn't complete, and have to be redone/relisted or he's got to go out of town for a short while and wouldn't be able to ship in the agreed upon timeframe.
