I own 2 of the Daniel Defense cold hammer forged nitrocarburized barrels. Both 18" S2W contour, one mid length gas one rifle length gas. The rifle length gas is installed in a complete Daniel Defense rifle. Both are excellent shooters.

I just ran the Daniel Defense (DDM4V11 PRO) in a Pat McNamara TAPS (tactical application practical shooting) class and it ran like a -dream-. If you're not familiar with Pat McNamara he is a well known trainer who retired from 1st SFOD-D as a Sergeant Major in 2005, with all 22 years of service in special forces with his last 13 in Delta. He runs a very good class, and you don't have time to screw around with a gun that doesn't run.

Both my DD barrels clean easily, and give consistent sub MOA accuracy with match bullets for 10 shot groups when I do my part. Chambers ate true 5.56mm NATO so they run hot, wet, dirty or any other condition you can think of, no super tight finicky match chambers.

That's interesting, I wonder who is making them for PSA. They don't advertise FN, which they always have done before. There are only so many options after all. I wonder if this will more fully phase out their FN barrel series, which have gotten much more scarce as of late. My guess would by Remington, as their parent company owns DPMS and Bushmaster, and they have the machinery to hammer forge barrels.
