i am storing 6 handguns three of which are stainless, for 7 to 9 months while being out of the country.
A friend suggested using our food vacuum sealer which the guns wrapped in a micro fiber rag that has some gun oil on them.
Does this sound reasonable? I have the vacuum sealer but I am trying to think of what the down side would be. Thanks for the input. Frank

A cleaning and wipe down with an oily rag, each tucked away in a GI wool boot sock is how I'd do it.
Do you have a humidity problem or something?

Nope, inside a house with humidity controlled. I lived aboard a sailboat for years so I am concerned about moisture of course but the house is controlled.

Just clean them and put them in the safe. Long term storage = years not months. I have guns in my safe that go two are three years without being touched and are fine..
