Looking back, 2014 was a very good year for handguns. We saw the glock 41 & 42 make the scene. There was the S&W Shield and the subcompact Springfield XDs. Remington reentered the handgun market with the R51. I'm sure there are many more. 2014 was a good year for handguns.
If you were to pick the best of the bunch, what would be your pick for handgun of the year? All opinions are welcome but you must make a case for your choice.
As for me, I'll pick the g42. It's not the glock many wanted but it is the glock that pleasantly surprised me. It's a joy to shoot. Accurate and comfortable in the hand. This coul be The most important glock since the g17. Never mind the caliber (which I have found a great admiration for because of the little 42) this is a handgun that anyone can shoot and enjoy with good effect. Here is a gun that my 14 year old daughter can manage with ease (If she can get it away from me). IMHO this may be glock's best effort yet.
That's my pick. What's yours?
