...finding that third 8# jug of Varget that you bought years ago, and forgot, when the last of the previous jugs were gone...and no more is found on Gunbot.

$145 when purchased.

That rocks! I would love to find 8 pounds of varget! I refuse to pay the 1lb price of 37.99 at my lgs. I did find 8 pounds of bullseye for 179 last month though!

I rarely load rifle. I recently found 6 lbs of rifle powder I had forgotten about. Among them was 2 lbs if Varget. I am happy to have a supply to go to.

I cannot imagine forgetting about 8#of powder! For you to find at just the right time!...that is too cool!

That's early GW Bush era Varget. I thought I was out. It still has a $145 retail store tag...it was probably $110 online back then.

I thought I was out, and needed to load 6mm BR and .22-250 for spring. (Batches of both in the pic.)

Panicking that I didn't have Varget, I was lining up 8208, 4064, and N135 as substitutes. I begin to twitch when I run low on Varget.

I have a favorite Varget load in most every cartridge I shoot. (Even .270 Win with light V-Max bullets).

When you find it cheap, stack it deep. It is amazing how much you save, by doing that between reloading shortages. I should have done the same with Bullseye.

I have always shopped for deals and bought at least twice what I needed. I finally shot all my cardboard canned powder, but still have a few metal cans.

Just yesterday, I was rummaging through all my Reloading stuff looking for a bunch of 30-06 AI brass I had fire formed months ago.

Didn't find the AI brass yet, but I did find a bag containing 1000 New 7.62 x 39 IMI brass. :)

Colt says he finally ran out of cardboard cans, Wow, I bet some here have never seen cardboard cans, or metal DuPont cans for that matter. I still have a very few of some that I don't use much of. I was teaching a guy to reload last winter and he remarked about how much equipment and components I had stocked up. I didn't show him the real stockpile! I have weathered a few of these shortages before.
