I just bought a really cool little Manhurin PP in .22LR. When I went to put it away in the gunsafe, I suddenly realized that I have accumulated a decent collection of subcompact pistols without any real intent. One of these days, I think I'll round it off with a Bersa and a Keltec, maybe even a 9mm Khar if I come across a bunch of extra money.

Does anybody else collect pocket guns?

Clockwise from top right: East German Makarov 9x18mm, CZ-70 .32ACP, Manhurin/Walther PP .32ACP, Manhurin/Walther PP .22LR, in the center: S&W 642 .38Special

I love what you did to the CZ-70. What finish is that and who did the work?

I uised to have just one pocket gun, a Tomcat. The Tomcat went bye-bye about 2 weeks ago when I found a nearly new S&W 624 4 inch that I had to have. Other pocket guns I have are:

Kel-Tec 3AT
NAA Guardian .380
Walther PPK
Walther PPK/s
S&W 640
Taurus 85TI
Taurus 650
Colt Detective Special
Kahr PM9
Kahr MK9
Makarov (East German) - although this is a little big for a pocket gun).

I might have to get one of those CZ-70s (my dad has one). Yours is positively gorgeous.

I like the cool little Colt and Browning Sven!

Thanks Southpaw. I picked this one up for cheap at a gunshow a while back. The finish was really worn and the sharp corners bothered me so I dehorned and GunKoted it myself. I also experimented with some stipling on the front strap of the grip by masking it off, giving it a good wet shot of GunKote, sprinkling some sandblast material then giving it another shot of Gunkote to seal it in. I used a similar technique on the CZ-50 grips using epoxy, aluminum oxide grit, and covering with polyeurothane spray. I really like the way it came out. the gun is much more comfortable to shoot and doesn't squirm under recoil. I did it about two years ago and the finish and grips have held up real well. I do have to put the more slick plastic CZ-70 grips back on if I use it as a CCW though.

Here's a couple closeup pics

I don't collect them.
I merely accumulate them.
Mostly snubnose revolvers, although there are a few .22, .25 and .32 auto pistols here too.

I accumulate vs. collect also. I bought an Autauga .32 and I also like to have a back-up so I bought another. Then the P-32s came, bought one, got another for a back-up. Then the P-3AT came out, bought one, will get another before long.

DKM....big sigh....

How many times do i have to tell you guys. You have to keep your guns segregated. They breed in the dark.

What? How many do i have? Uhhh....well....i....okay....6 wheelguns and 3 autos....but it's not my fault....

I aight even gonna go into how many pocket guns I own...One of the problems with making holsters for a living is having to have all of these nasty little pocket guns laying everywhere...sometimes 2 or 3 of each!!

THE HORROR....THE HORROR

<Brando voice off> R.I.P:(

I don't have any yet but plan on eventually getting a CZ RAMI, right now it's looking like it will be a 9mm unless I get a good deal on a full size CZ in .40 pretty soon.

Small guns just don't normally appeal to me. 9mm is the smallest cartridge I'd trust against 2 legged threats but I can see the value of smaller guns for snakes and other pesty vermin. Obviously they're not gonig to be a 1st choice for target shooting :)

I like Kamicosmos' SP101 which I've gotten to shoot a few times and it's gotten me looking at the Taraus Protector series of revolvers. I think I've even found a couple models that are lightweights but aren't ported! :what:

Could it be they're finallally listening to some of their customers
