I was wondering if anyone out there has built a krinkov? I see that there are part kits, minus the reciever. I was wondering how you build one of these guns, as I know nothing about part kits.

My under standing is that you could use just about any AK74 reviver, WITHOUT a stock. That away they are just long barreled pistols and not a short barrled rifle.

The kits contain everyting else you would need would be my guess.

Nah, the Krinks use short gas tubes. K-var.com has some parts kits.

Lot of builder info at http://www.ak47.net/forums/forum.html?b=4&f=51

American Gunsmith Institute has a dvd on building an ak (but not specific to the krink--which I hear is harder).

I'm planning on doing my first build soon, an AMD-65. I'm planning on photo-recording it and hope to post it once I'm done.

First you have to buy a krinkov kit, depending on the caliber of the kit you purchase, you select a receiver in 7.62x39 or 5.45x39. My personal choice is Ohio Ordnance, or if you have some skills of the do it yourselfer, you could buy a receiver flat that you can complete yourself. This is not a route you want to take if you do not have the skill or the tools. Lastly you must decide if you want to assemble it yourself or have a professional do it. You can either do a pistol with no stock or a rifle with a barrel extension in the shape of a silencer and retain your folding stock.

Or you can find someone that has prebuilt Krinks available for sale and buy it ready to roll.
