Has anyone ever had a Chiappa combination gun? Good or bad?

I see that the .410/.22WMR Double Badgers are available and I've been wanting one for months now. I would like to hear from those who had either the M6 Scout or Double Badger (don't care what gauge/caliber) what they thought about them. The few videos I've seen on youtube have been inconclusive. IDK how the regulation is or the POA/POI is, one thing I do remember hearing is the triggers are not light, but I figure they can be lightened with some new springs.

The few I’ve looked at appeared to be a bit crude. Obviously designed and constructed to a price point.
If they genuinely fulfill a need, they’ll work. Utilitarian seems an apt description.

I had a DB some years ago. Ordered it from Bud's, sight un-seen. It wasn't a bad gun, but it had a couple issues. The biggest was the fact it wasn't even close to being regulated. The rifle sights were fine for the 22lr barrel, but the 410 shot way low/right. Turns out the barrel was slightly bent, which I corrected with a piece of heavy leather and a pipe wrench. Then it was useable, but that's all. The sights are hokey plastic jobs, and the adjustments were crude. Accuracy was about minute of squirrel at 30 yards; anything over that was pushing it. Triggers were heavy as I remember, and the action was quite stiff. You actually cock the actions with the break lever, if I remember correctly.

I've had 4 Chiappa guns, and none of them were anywhere close to decent. They are cheap for a reason; the quality just isn't there. If you're heart is set on one, I strongly encourage you to handle one in person and look it over well before purchasing it. Honestly, save your pennies and buy a used Savage 24. They're twice the gun that the DB's are, and will serve you much, much better in the long run.

Finding a Savage 24 in .22 Mag is going to be a chore and the price for one is more than I care to part with. I just saw that Savage makes the 42 (basically an updated 24) in a takedown style, so that has more appeal than the original 42's that lacked that feature.

A good portion (as in nearly all) of what Chiappa makes is half baked garbage. Abysmal quality control and the guns do not hold up. JUNK.
