..a picture of the end of the barrel with the compensator removed, that is?

I'm assuming that it's removable at least for cleaning.

But I've got my eye on one of the V-Comp models and would rather not have the compensator on it at all. I'm a compensator non-believer.

I'm pretty sure that the small object in the bag is the attaching hardware for the Hogue grip, not a muzzle cap.

Doesn't look like the cap is shown.
 
I've got one of those but don't have a pic.

If it helps, the muzzle cap looks like the comp that somebody hacksawed such that the front is straight up-and-down and shorter overall.

The barrel protrudes from the shroud maybe 3/8" which the cap covers. If the cap is left off it looks like it wants a silencer. I'd not be surprised if it inspired another round of silenced revolvers from Hollywood.
 
Yes, previous photo appears to be Hogue hardware.

Attached is pic of cap, comp and V-Comp 627 revolver.

Removable for cleaning.
