I just saw an ad for glock 43 with a +2 ghost extension (can use the stock base plate) plus a pierce +1 baseplate.

Instead, add a +2 taran tactical baseplate for a total of 6+ 2+ 2 rounds.

Would this work?

Yes, it's called Glock 26. Most buy that and carry it IWB wearing pants about 2" larger than their waist size. The only downside is it does not have mini rail to mount excellent tiny combat lights now available that is why most now pick XD, S&W or Ruger equivalents.
