Hatfield SAS 20 issue

Issue with the 20 gauge SAS is the safety won't function when in the firearm. It fires with the safety on. Of course I'm outside the warranty period. When the trigger assembly is taken out, the safety functions. Its only when I put the retention pin in to secure the trigger group that the safety stops keeping the trigger from activating the hammer. Anybody else or any thoughts?

I would not try to hazard a guess on what the issue is. But I would contact Hatfield because due to the nature of the malfunction, in my mind it would be in their best interest to fix it at no charge.
