I have Lymans Devastator mould for my 44 Rem Mag. I love shooting those bullets and they cast very nicely using hardball alloy once the mould gets up to temp.
I've read many of Glen Fryxell's articles on Ideal's Keith moulds and also those on aftermarket hollow point conversions. I'd really like a Lyman's 4-cavity 429421 in hollow point. I have the 2 cavity version currently, and it's another fun bullet to cast and shoot.
I've checked out some of the hollow point mould manufacturer's sites. Some aren't user friendly and some have been helpful.
I'd like to know what choice any of you folks might have made when you decided to get a non-devastator hollowpoint mould. Did you get an existing one converted? Did you buy one from one of the other smaller companies out there (e.g. NOE). Were you happy with the results? Run into any problems?
