Have you seen a 3” Taurus 327?

Heck I haven't seen a single 2" version in stock yet. I would be happy with either if I could even find one in stock.

I have been looking online and have my local dealer looking for a 3" but would take a 2" if that came up first.

It looks like Taurus has updated their website to only mention the 2" barrel option. Which is a real bummer because a 3" barrel would have been sweet. I love my Taurus 327 2" barrel, but every time I look at it I can't think of how much cooler it would be with an extra inch of barrel length (and a 7th shot, but I don't say that part out loud )

That doesn't surprise me one bit. Taurus can't even keep up with the demand for the 2" version. I have been checking all of the local shops and big sporting goods stores along with watching Bud's Guns and Grab A Gun. And the Taurus 327 is never available when I check. And I have never gotten a back in stock email notification either.

Good luck finding one in any of the variations. I became interested in the 2” as a purse gun for my wife, she’s weak handed but shoots downloaded 38’s just fine. I figured that the Taurus would be a good introduction to .32 cal. and that I could develop a magnum load that she can handle. After almost a year on notification lists from half a dozen retailers and speaking directly to Taurus who tell me that the model 327 is in regular production I’m discouraged at the extreme scarcity and the lack of ammo or cases. I’m starting to wonder if 327FM is a round headed for extinction.

The Taurus website says that the 327 is available in a 3” barrel, but I have not seen one anywhere. I think one of these in stainless, stoked with .32 S&W Long wadcutters would be a dandy gun to wear while messing around doing farm chores. Have you guys seen one?

I don't see many Taurus-s at the one place I frequent locally, and I don't see many .32s. Likewise, the set of 3" revolvers is small.

The intersection of the two sets is empty, at this instant. (Haven't personally seen.)

(I'm a half mile up the road from GAT Guns near Chicago at this instant, and intend to drop by there one this service call is done. If anyone might have one, they would.)

---edit to add---

GAT Guns had plenty of .38s. No .32 revolvers, not a one.

I have the 2" snub nose Taurus .327fedmag and a 4" barreled Ruger SP101 in .327fedmag.

I've had them both for years and glad I got them when I did.
I didn't pay close to what's being asked today.

I have a Ruger LCR chambered in 327 Federal Magnum. I keep hoping Ruger releases a model with the 3" barrel, but not holding my breath. Had I seen a Taurus 327 with the 3" barrel, I would have bought one.

The 327 is the same size pistol as the 856 with the same capacity and slightly heavier, so it’s DOA.
The LCR327 has that weird long false reset trigger that most “double clutch”, and it’s a nitch at best.
SW j frame 32s are running over 1K if you can find one, so it’s priced out if common sense range.
Leaves us with Charter Arms…….sad day indeed for 32 lovers.

That Charter Arms Professional loaded with 7 rounds of 32 S&W Long goodness.....Man oh man, that is a sweet little combo right there!

I haven’t seen most CAs built since 2018 last over 500 rounds. I had two that couldn’t go one month of dry fire practice. I stay clear of CAs. Sure I will be bombarded with everyone’s safe queen CA going thousands of rounds, but good for them. I will save my bottle caps and cereal tops for a j frame.

I have to agree with you about staying clear of any newly manufactured Charter Arms revolvers. There are a bunch of threads just on the revolver section of this forum alone on people having issues with CA revolvers and having to send them back numerous times with no guarantee that they will be fixed.

I’m taking Claude Werner’s Snubbie Course through his Patreon page and someone asked him about Charter Arms. Mr Werner said they were good for about 600 rounds was his personal experience and from those he has seen. He has a Taurus 856 he has been using, along with his older steel SW 36, that he gives high marks on. And Mr Werner isn’t one to have to have the latest and greatest, he is known for just running what you have and go from there. When he stays clear of something, a lot of us take notice.

I know that Taurus revolvers aren't top of the line either. But the three I own have been good to go. My 3" Model 85 was bought about 20 years ago. It is kind of an odd duck though. It is a 3" ported barrel. The other two are both 2" revolvers, a 856 and 942. I bought both of those in 2021.

I want to add a 327 to the collection if I can ever find one in stock. At this point it wouldn't matter if it is a 2" or 3" version.

I would snatch one up at a decent price. My Undercoverette seems light-duty for a whole lot of shooting, and my SP101 and Single Six are awfully large/heavy for such a light round. Something like a steel j-frame seems like it would be about right for fun practice.
