I have, all of them from the state level up.

Our rights are under attack and you can bet the bank that those that seek to remove our freedoms are making their voices heard to those that we have elected to represent our interests.

Don't let them think that 'everyone' thinks the way as those that wish to control us and our access to firearms. They need to hear strong voices from our side, and now.

When you fill out the online forms, do not do it half-hearted. Those partially filled, or fake letters are treated as garbage.

Put you name, email, address, etc. so they know it is legitimate.

I really is not that hard or time consuming.

About five minutes ago.

Join in folks, they need to hear from us.We have to remind them that there are many of us and we vote.

After Sandy Hook, I wrote my senators and congressman. My senators are Mark Warner and Tim Kaine. All I got out of writing them is spam from them advocating more gun control. In fact I got a "we need more gun control" e-mail from Kaine about a week ago, I think even before the Orlando shooting.

The fact that they are trying to send me messages completely opposite of what I wrote them proves they 1) don't read what I wrote and 2) don't care about my opinion.

So basically my personal e-mails to them were treated as garbage.

I write my state legislators and my congressman now, because they are sympathetic to our cause and need a reminder that no compromise is acceptable.

HOOfan_1:
Also in VA, also wrote Kaine and Warner last time, got the same response from Kaine, saying we needed "common-sense". Got no response at all from Warner. Still, just wrote Warner, Kaine, and Goodlatte (got an awesome advocate right there) the following:

In the wake of the Orlando tragedy, and every other crisis we face, it must be remember that the solution for a criminal's action, is NOT to disarm and punish the law-abiding citizens. Criminals will NOT obey any laws enacted, that is what makes them criminals. These so-called "assault weapons" that are always singled out, account for a very small percentage of violent crimes, any infringement on them would less effect on violence than banning hammers. We do not need any more bans or infringements, we need enforcement of the existing laws. Unfortunately, justice is only available AFTER the crime, we cannot punish Americans for crimes they have not committed yet.

Sure did.

My letter.

In light of the recent Orlando incident where many people were murdered in a night club, I wanted to take the time to urge you to look for a legitimate solution to the problem rather than listen to the same emotional responses that want to blame the tools used to commit this vicious act. Firearms are not the problem. As we've seen during the Boston marathon bombing and the September 11th, 2001 attacks, these terrorists will carry out these vicious acts regardless of the tools at their disposal.

Keep in mind that over 100 million gun owners in America, most of which owning semiautomatic firearms, go about their daily lives peacefully. Attempts to further restrict our everyday lawful acts will only alienate us and cause far more problems than what we face now.

Time and time again we see these acts of terror carried out in gun free zones where they know they will face little to no opposition. There's a good reason these acts are not carried out at gun shops, gun shows or police departments. When there is a presence of armed American citizens able to protect themselves and others, the damage done by one individual is minimized or usually avoided all together.

As your constituent, I respectfully urge you to OPPOSE any further gun control that would not make Americans safer and would only further burden on the lawful citizens that are the only ones who obey gun laws in the first place.

Acera - thanks for guilt trip. Sincerely!

I hadn't written to 'em in over a month.

But I just finished contacting both of my senators & my house rep.
Now on to state lawmakers.
