Just was reading this article on Hawaii Reporter (a conservative Hawaii publication), about the Hawaii House of Representatives commending Duane "Dog" Chapman the bounty hunter for his work.

Why do they have to bring attention to the fact that he doesn't use a gun, as part of his commendation? I think it's disturbing that the Hawaii House of Representatives makes mention that Dog doesn't use a gun in doing his work, like that's a good thing. No wonder Hawaii has such horrible gun control laws and getting a CCW permit in Hawaii is impossible. Hawaii law makers still think guns are bad.
Isn't the true fact for why Dog doesn't carry a gun because he was a convicted felon?
