I was going through my ammo stash when I stumbled upon some shells that I bought about five years ago. I bought an old gun from a gunsmiths place and these came with it.
Well I really have no clue what they are but, Its brass cases with a steel bullet.
The headstamp reads 7.9 FS 1942 TOC Im not sure that it is an "O" doesnt look like one. I am assuming its made in 1942 originally, but havent figured out the rest.
Also as I was inspecting the case, I noticed that the crimp on the bullet looks like it has been crimped with some type of hex tool? As literally there are six flats all around the bullet. I dont recall ever noticing this on any old brass. Is this some type of foreign or military thing?
On a side note the accuracy is not to bad at 50 yards on the few I have shot a while back.
