Use of suppressors in poaching is really a non-issue. I volunteer at a National Park and recently discussed the issue with a couple of our LEs and a game warden. I asked if they had ever encountered suppressors with poaching, and all three said no. They are rarely used because most poachers fire a single shot, and it's almost impossible to determine the direction, let alone the distance, of a single shot unless one is waiting for the shot.
