this is a low base W-W shotgun shell with the only marking being 'HEAVY FOUR'. is this just no.4 shot shell or is the marking telling me something else?
That 8 Gauge looks like a brute! I remember reading somewhere that the slightly larger area near the rim was to keep folks from being able to chamber one of the industrial shells in their 8 Gauge shotgun. I guess the industrial shells were loaded really hot and it would have been a really bad situation if someone could have loaded one in their old Damascus barreled shotgun
Winchester rented us the tripod mounted shotgun and we used buck and slugs to blast slag off the boiler tubing and walls. We previously used Remington 870s and wore them and the worker shoulders out too many times
