There was a drive over at ARFCOM to make pistols for Dick Heller and his attorney, and Bob Miller of Miller Custom made 3 of these excellent $2500 1911's from scratch. But he wanted a nice Mohagany case and a knife to go with the pistols and that's where I got involved. I made 3 for Heller, his attorney and a raffle winner and have since made a few more for people that are buying this set-up as a package.
The case, gun grips and knife handles are all Mohogany. I made the knife and incribed my logo and sent them to Bob without the handles so he could put another logo and serial number on them, then I got them back and put handles on them.
The funny part about these pics is this is a $150 knife and a $2500 gun!
This has been a great project for me as I've donated everything and made a knife for Bob Miller and am getting custom work done on a 1911. Sweet!
