Hey all. I've gotten a lot of positive emails about Heller Kitty, but some have wished that it wasn't so...girly. So, to that end may I present Heller Yes!

Please let me know what you think.

Too militant. That US Marines logo is not relevant. Heller is a VICTORY OF THE COMMON PEOPLE! NOT THE MILITARY:)

I like your previous one better, with Kitty wearing Stars and Stripes.

Very cool - but could you maybe change the US Marine Corps logo, to the NRA or GOA logo, or just the USA eagle like the Justice Dept symbol, rather than the Marine Corps-specific anchor logo? Goodness knows the Marine Corps rocks, but I'm not so sure we should be using their symbol. But I love it, and would like to buy some of the finished product.

What have the Marines ever done for the Second Amendment? Their logo is totally out of place on a civil rights victory.

I liked it much better with the stars and stripes, and the feeling of ordinary people being happy and light-hearted about being able to be armed and free. Please ditch the military logo and rifle - this is about people who are NOT military or "state militia" being able to keep and bear arms, and the decision struck down a ban on HANDGUNS - not rifles or shotguns. If you feel you really must use a rifle, at least add an open trigger lock lying on the ground or something to show that the requirement to keep rifles and shotguns inoperable was struck down.
I actually liked the fact that the previous version was feminine, not because I'm a fan of frilly, (I'm not!), but becaue it subtly emphasises the point that being armed empowers the most vulnerable in our society, namely, women, the elderly, and the disabled, as well as dispelling the stereotype of 2A and gun-rights advocates being only rural white males. If you want it more masculine, just use a striped shirt and hat instead of a striped dress and bow. Maybe have His & Hers Heller KItty/Heller Yes?

I come from a Marine family. If it were not for the Marines, we wouldn't have much of a country to celebrate Heller. But your point is taken. Most of the questions I got asked for something more akin to Kalashnikitty but more masculine. I didn't want to use an AK because I didn't want to take anything from Kalashnikitty. I already used a handgun in Heller Kitty, and Heller validates the personal use of all firearms not just handguns.

Well, I don't want to get into a whole *thing* here, but for the record, the Marines have done a LOT for the 2A over the decades - many have died and fought and been wounded to preserve the nation itself, and its constitution, even if perhaps not all of them realized that part of what they were fighting for was the 2A (guys like Wes Clark - is he a Marine?).

That being said, it's still not a good choice for the logo if the goal is widespread consumption/use of your logo. For personal use, great - it's perfect given your personal connection. For the masses, notsomuch.

I understand now.:)

HOWEVER, for Heller, we still have to emphasize THE PEOPLE. Thats why I absolutely liked the first version, with Kitty wearing the Stars and Stripes, and carrying the Constitution.

I take your point y'all. I'll keep working on the "male" Heller Kitty. But I do think the military idea has merit too...

Asbestos underwear on. Let the flames from the jar heads begin! :)

Now thats exclusively for the Marines, nothing else. For everything else, we can use the other Heller Kitty.:D

For Semper Feline, why not maroon and gold for the headband/logo?
