It all started with a new P220 ST, my first Sig, about 6 months ago. The heft, solid feel, accuracy, grip, & placement of controls quickly made it my favorite .45 to shoot.

So I was at my local FFL today and came across a deal too good to pass up. A mint P245 with 3 mags for $429. I doesn't look like it's been shot any more than the test target that was included. I had always thought that the 245 looked a bit odd but that changed when I picked it up. Great feel in the hand, and to my surprise I could get all three fingers on the grip. Conceals really well too, thanks to the short grip.

There was a sweet .40 P229 (also mint) with 5 mags and a nice leather holster for $499 too. I had enough resolve to let that one go. :)

Both nice guns. I just never could get used to the decocker and slide release being so close together. Under stress, I would hit either one, and I would occasionally thumb the slide release and lock the slide with rounds left. I've pretty much settled on glocks, which I cut the slide stop off of, and Hk's that have the slide stop where god and John Browning intended.

I've thought about the DAK sig but haven't had a chance to shoot one. Sigs really are well made guns. The controls just aren't for me.

You make your newfound addiction sound like a bad thing.

If it's that much of a problem, I'd be willing to take the offending firearms off your hands for a modest price :D

Your life still has a gaping void if you don't own a P239 in .357SIG and a P228 (which is one of the finest 9mm carry guns ever made). Oh, and you'll also need the 232, because it's so darn cute.

Bitten? By Sigs? Get ready to have your leg chewed off! When one follows you home, a pack will soon follow. :what:

Sig’s are wonderful. I bought a P239 around 6 months ago and can see it won’t be the last Sig I buy.

Congratulations on the fine firearms! :D

I know that Sig makes a really fine firearm, my buddy swears by them. But they never really felt quite right in my hand. That and I couldn't get used to the controls.

No finer handguns around IMHO. Enjoy them. I am so happy to see that you picked up a P245, the red headed stepsig so to speak. :D I love my P245 but there are not many of us who like the little guy.
