ive got both and theres just to much differnce between them to make a call. I like the 762x39. Its an ar round that is good enough for deer pigs and bear. Its so close to the 6.8 in power that its a non issue. Brass is much eaiser to find and i can still get cheap wolf ammo and go to camp and blast it up and not have to worry about picking up brass. The 50beo i hands down more fun to shoot. Its a real thumper. Powerful enough for about any game animal on the planet with the right load. Brass and ammo is expensive though and sometimes real hard to find. Sure is a ball though to take out and bust up things like cement blocks ect. I couldnt think of a better gun for busting hogs and bear with. It really puts a slap on them. My wife used mine to cleanly take a 1600 lb asia water buffalo a few years ago using a 380 grain solid brass punch bullet. I vote for buying a complete beo and getting another upper in 762x39 and having them both.
