I always inspect WWB before use. I've seen several rounds (out of a couple thousand) with a damaged case mouth that if driven into the chamber by the slide would have been wedged tight.

Interesting. How & why is it different from the fullsize xD series?Clearly you've never handled an XD-S. The grip safety has NOTHING to do with the slide.

WWB, I'd bet the farm on it. I had a BIG problem with this happening with my sr9. And the way Sam said to fix it is what worked fyi.I got it to pop open any ideas as to why this happened

Do you other XD-S owners have problems ejecting rounds?I have an XD-S in .45 Auto and I've noticed that it's not easy to eject a live round such as a 230gr JHP or MC, even if it has the correct OAL.

Hey arizona98tj
This will get your XDs trigger close.
From PPR
"We have designed this XDS Spring Kit to lower the trigger pull on your XDS and give reliable function of your carry pistol. With this kit properly installed the trigger pull should be between 4.5-5 LBS XDS .45cal Springs out of stock at this time."
Learned my lesson too with WWB in my XDm 9mm. Now I check every round as it goes in the mag.I always inspect WWB before use. I've seen several rounds (out of a couple thousand) with a damaged case mouth that if driven into the chamber by the slide would have been wedged tight.
