Help please!

Last night I decided to decap some 45 (R-P) brass on my LNL. I removed all dies and powder measure except for the sizer/decapper die. Aproximatly 3 out of every 5 cases I attempted to decap would hit the bottom of the die when trying to enter nad I would have to adjust them myself to get them to go into the die. The cases are tilting outward just enough to prevent them from entering the die.

Any ideas as to how I can eliminate this problem and insure the brass is straight at all die positions?

Make sure the case rims are not damaged and that the base is perpendicular with the case wall. Most likley the extractor has pulled the rim. Could also be there is something stuck in the shell holder (media, brass).

Is this a new shell plate? Have you tried any other make of brass? Do you have this problem with other calibers (assuming you load for more than the 45)? Also check to see that the case retaining spring is properly installed.

Sounds like something's not allowing the bras to standup straight.
You didn't say what press
Does it have a shell holder or a shell plate?

Either way, - make sure the brass can stand up straight.

I am using the LNL AP so it is the shell plate. At this time the only caliber I am reloading is the 45 ACP and do not have the dies or shell plate for anouther caliber to check against.
