I live in a dry climate, so I never dreamed that this would be such a big issue. I took out my long guns today, and 2 of them have a couple of rust specks on them. Easily polished... But my SKS is covered in rust! I managed to polish most of it off with cloth, but the operating rod and operating rod chamber are really bad. I should be able to get it all fixed up, but how can I prevent this in the future? I clean them about once every 2 months or after a couple of range trips... No gun safe, they are kept locked and 'hidden' in the closet. Thanks! :banghead:
