Texas, baby!
Okay, first off, I do not know a lot about pistols; I am a rifle guy. That is not to say I don't know about makers, types, size, calibers. Nor does it mean I don't know how to shoot. I have a cz 75 full size, 2 ruger 22/45's, a old rohm 22 short snubbie revolver, and a couple of air pistols. But the cz is for home usage , and the others for fun.
Now then, I have decided I am going to start carrying on a daily basis. And becuase of this, I have weighed many factors- my job, my clothes i wear on the job, amount of movement, in and out of cars, in and out of businesses of all types, etc., etc. For this reason, i have decided on a 32 cal pistol.
So please don't try to change my mind about calibers, this is what it is going
to be.
Therefore, in your experience, what 32's did you like and why? I have looked at several models, feg clones, cz clones, polish radoms, jimenez/Davis/bryco/jennings/cobra arms, new , used, ancient- you name it.
My two main concerns here are; it has to be small, as in, fit in my front pockets, which is why I figure single stack, proly 8 rounds or less.
Lastly, it cannot be double action only, I hate that, it has to be double action/single action, or single action only. I also don't care if it locks open on the last round fired or not. Most of those mentioned above, I cannot tell, if they are double action only, or double/single, or single only. so if you have experience, and know which does what, or just experience with yours, that would be great. Thanks in advance.

i like the kel-tec .32

I do, too. My daughter carries one and it's been flawless.

But the OP says, "No double action only."

So the Kel-Tec is out. I think that also eliminates the NAA and Seecamp.

If you insist on a single action and intend to carry in your pocket, make sure
it has a safety. First you don't want anything else in the pocket that could get into the trigger housing. Without a lot of training, in a fast reaction response,
you're liable to put your finger on the trigger and accidently lose your manhood.

A much better choice would be a Kahr PM9 which has a very smooth double action trigger and a 9mm round which is more substantial. I believe it weighs
only 16 oz. and is very slim and concealable. They are a little pricey but when it comes to your life, it's cheap. Also, there are some good used ones around for $450. to $500..

Good luck!

Colt 1903 makes a VERY nice pocket carry(provided the pockets are not shallow) or belt gun.

Grip safety as well as traditional thumb operated safety. Slim, light, snag free, and a classic.

Also meets your requirements which many others such as the Kel-Tec, Seecamp, Kahr do not.

Same gun is available in .380 as well, as the model 1908 should you decide to go up in caliber. Same exact gun chambered for a more powerful round.

I've pocket carred a 1903 many times. Great little guns.

Beretta Tomcat also fits the bill, although they are a little fat for such a small pistol

For reasons known only to you,....

you're limiting yourself severely with all your requirements. I prefer single actions or DA/SA too, but I just don't think you're going to find much in a pocket size to suit you.

NAA Guardian all the way..... In .32 NAA

I used to own a KelTech p32 and they are great guns but I wouldnt want it to be my primary carry piece.

You should really look into the .32 NAA cartridge. Its a .32 cal bullet in a bottlenecked .380 shell, but never the less, it is a .32 cal. And a bad-*** .32 at that.

Im pretty sure the NAA Guardian is the only gun available chambered in .32 NAA. The Guardian is all metal and so it will be easier on the hands and its very carry friendly.

EDIT:

Sorry. I guess I missed the whole NO DAO thing in the OP. Im gonna have to tell you that you are really putting some crazy limitations on what you want. If you want a good small caliber pocket gun then you probably need to start liking DA pistols.

There are some great DAO's out there that have some pretty mild triggers. Once you find one you like and get some practice in, you will most likely enjoy DAO.

But if you wont budge on the DAO Id go with the Beretta Tomcat. It is in fact the only thing that I would EDC that fits your needs.

I like the idea of the kahr, I have heard even though it is dao, it is very smooth and light. and the NAA is intriguing, allbeit I have never seen guardian specific ammo anywhere; I love the idea of that bada@$ little hotrod 32 they have.
I also am looking at an old polish radom, a CZ 70, and a new F.I.E. Titan, made by Tangfolio. problem is, even though they fit the criteria, they have the slightly longer bbls, and are a little sausagier in shape. I do like the total smoothness of the Polish space gun, and really like the shape of the NAA's and the Kahr. HERE is a pic of the Polish;

and what is more, it is in 9x18 mak. I like how there is no corners or bumps on this ride, even the front/rear sites, are just slopes right into the top of the slide.

The pistols you mention are fine, but heavy.

I've got a Bulgarian Mak myself and it's a great pistol, but I would NEVER consider it for pocket carry. It's just too heavy and bulky.
I've got a Kahr PM9. The DAO trigger is very light and smooth. At slightly less than a pound fully loaded and with a slim profile (.90), it's just about the limit for pocket carry for me (sizewise). Plus it's a 9x19 round.
I carry the Kahr in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster (ultra light, about $20). The pistol just disappears. And the holster always stays put in the pocket on the draw.

Of course, with a 3" barrel, you have to practice to get any kind of accuracy (shorter sight radius).

If you want a current production, single action, pocket pistol, the Sig P238 is the only one I know of. It is very similar to the discontinued colt mustang, and it is chambered in .380, not .32.

I often carry a CZ VZOR 50. (Fine milsurp). I do this because my .40 CZ RAMI is often inappropriate as it is quite bulky.

The only problem I have is that the weight of in pocket pistols often prevent the wear of some types of pants unless a proper pocket holster is used. Think printing here if CCW.

You have the worst criteria for a pocket pistol I have ever read. You say you are not a pistol guy, so why not at least listen to some advice from a pistol guy? If you want a .32A.C.P. get a Kel-Tec P-32. However, in my opinion you should consider stepping up to a .380A.C.P. such as a Kel-Tec P-3AT or a Ruger LCP. They are almost the same size and weight as the .32.

If you still want something that closely meets your specifications:

Walther PPK 32 ACP

With any of these guns you are also going to need a pocket holster. I use and recommend this one: DeSantis Nemesis

I can certainly tell you one thing. I have heard those p64's are cool, cheap, etc...... but those triggers supposedly suck.

I want to make it clear that I have never shot one personally, but I too considered buying one and after a good deal of research I decided to use the money more wisely (for me, ammo).

I have a couple of the P64's, in fact qualified for my CCW permit with one of them. I have the round and the triangle hammer versions (not much difference other than ease of cocking). These are of course not .32 acp's which the OP had first said was a must.

In 32 I really like my CZ70's, newer version of the 50's. The 70's might be a little large for pocket pistol and some what heavy, as is the P64. The Kel tec's although DAO would be much better pocket pistols, and I don't even own a Kel tec, some friends carry them as pocket pistols and seem to be very happy with them.

DA/SA or SAO?

By not permitting DAO you are cutting out some of the smallest pocket pistols made in the .32 caliber. DA/SA and SAO require the use of a manual safety for the most part, and that takes up space - and weight.

The smallest, best .32 I see on the market is the North American Arms guardian, in both 32 ACP and 32 NAA (a killer round), but a DAO.

For DA/SA, the Walther PPK in 32 ACP is your best bet. but much larget than the Guardian. The Beretta Tomcat DA/SA in 32 is a hair smaller, but even with a small caliber round it has some pretty snappy recoil.

Not sure if there are any current production SAO 32 ACP pocket pistols. The archetype of the 32 ACP single-action is, of course, the Colt's Model 1903. I don't think there are any recent reproductions of it. And I wouldn't use an antique for self defense or CCW.
