I am looking for a model S&W 19 with a 4'" barrel, "as new in box". Would $325.00 be to low or to high? I have a model 12 and 15 now. I really enjoy the older K frames. :)

Model 19's are not uncommon, but one "as new," and "in the box" are. You're suggested price of around $325.00 is not out of line, but in some places, for what you want, it could be a bit low. If you drop the "in the box" requirement I think you might be on the high side, but still in the ball park.

All of this presumes you are looking for an older model 19, with the firing pin on the hammer, no "Brady lock," etc.

Old fuff:

Could do without the box but would like it to be in like new condition. Found one at a local dealer, they wanted $325.00 for it but the cylinder had a lot of play and the grips were not original. Yes I would like a older model 19. So I will keep looking. :)

I have seen them where I live for $100 less than that and in great condition. Have seen 586s for $325 in the box and I believe they are more expensive.

I've got a 4" 19, P&C, Nickle. like new, pretty Goncala Alves grips,no box. I'm gonna put on consignment at a local shop for $350. $325 is not out of line around here. If you don't have a 6" K frame you should "heft" one of those.

Price certainly seems to fall within anything I have seen. Neither high nor low. If the pistols "just right" to you, pick it up. :D
