I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me what it need to find to have a complete rifle. I hope I can get out what ever somebody screwed into it to hold the peep sight. Looks like a shoulder screw and perhaps a safety lever at the rear of the trigger assy. I'd love to get the correct rear sight too. Thanks.

The way your post is worded makes it a bit difficult to understand exactly what you are asking.
For the screw on the sight an EZE-Out and a tap wrench should get the 'thing' out without too much problem.

As for the second picture, the screw looks so corroded you may need to grind the head off and simply drill out the screw shaft, then retap the hole for a new screw.

Thanks guys. Question, I've been looking on ebay and found Items pictured below supposedly from models 46b, 42m and 146m. The lockwork looks identical with the exception that one model or another has what appears to be a trigger overtravel stop adjustment. Any chance the safety lever is dimentionally identical? The other issue, the the most commonly referenced rear sight is the s102. I see no way it can fit the fitting on my barrel, however I did find a small image of a what was referred to as the #2 sight which looks promising. Links to higher resolution images of the complete sight however were dead. Any Thoughts?

Scooter, Just took a quick glance at your link. That's a pile of Mossberg info, Just what I needed, I'll dig deeper later this evening. I sure appreciate the help.

Scooter22, I have been warned. thanks. I've oiled and steel wooled the blued parts and rubbing down the the dull brown stock with steel wool and Watco oil. The transformation is stunning. I'm anxious to gather the missing parts and have a range day with it.
