I need to find the replacement spring for Decocker lever on Tanfoglio TA90 pistol . I check with Wolf , Numeric gunparts and Brownell and come up empty handed. At this moment I use Remington 870 shotgun spring and it seem to fit alright but I want to get the right part for myfirearm.
Second problem is that my TA90 has light primer strike sometime.I notice that if the decocker lever frozen the gun will have light primer strike .If I emptied the chamber and pull trigger several times while pushing down on the decocking lever to unfreeze it and then chamber the round the pistol will fire . How can I fixt this problem ?

Like almost all CZ-75 "clones" the Ta 90 was actually made by Tanfoglio of Italy.

The current importer of Tanfoglio guns is European American Armory (EAA).

They can almost certainly supply parts, and probably service for your gun:
http://www.eaacorp.com/

The problem is my TA 90 has slide mount safety while CZ75/85 , EAA Witness and Springfield P9 all have frame mount safty so the part and spring will not work on my TA 90 . I will try to contact EAA anyway just in case they have part that competible with my TA 90
Thank for the information

I just picked up a TA 90, and have a post on the Semi-Auto forum asking questions about my gun, Sandy.

The EAA Corp. has a good website.
I was just directed to it today also.

A few days ago, I e-mailed Tanfolio with my serial number, to see what year my TA 90 was made, and they sent me a prompt, and very nice reply with my questions.

If all else fails, you might want to drop them an e-mail and see if they can help.

Good Luck, and PLEASE keep me posted on you results via e-mail.

Eric

P.S.
I just found a website for you to check out Sandy, they have parts for TA 90s
www.jackfirstgun.com

After the .com I believe that it says catalog, but I'm not sure.

The name of the Company is Jack First Guns.
I hope that this works for you.

Thank for the info, I will call Jack First about the part . IMI also replied back to my request but their customer service department asking about the serial number of the Baby Eagle (which I don't have , yet ) so I am not sure if they will let me purchase the spring. I manage to put around 400 rounds through my TA 90 and it is quite accurate and fun pistol . I plan to install new firing pin spring that I will order from Wolf may be the new spring will keep the back plate up against the rear and hold the firing pin steady in place so that the hammer will strike it fully and no more misfire. I will keep you post on the part acquision and repair.:)

Good luck Sandy,
Please keep me posted.
As of now, my 90 seems to shoot without problems.
We have had a cold spell in Minnesota, and I haven't been able to go ice fishing, so I spent WAY too much time in the reloading room punching out different loads for my 9mms.
Hopefully, I will be able to go to the range today, and try some of them out on my 90, to see how it preforms with good reloads.

Regards,
Eric

I called Jack First Gun shop and EAA corp gunsmith both of them do not have a part for my TA 90 so now I am back to square one. So far if I keep my left thum press up against the decocker lever the gun will fire without a problem.I will take my TA 90 to the local gunsmith (who sold the thing to me in the first place ) and see if he can figure out how to fix it.

Thank for the info. I look up Gunparts last time but I was looking for F.I.E instead of Excam. It doesn't look like they have the part that I need but I will write them a letter and draw a picture of the part I need and may be they have the parts avialble (Gunparts usually good about response to my parts drawing )

Gun Parts Corporation sell TA-90 parts:
http://www.e-gunparts.com/products.a...1400zTA-90&MC=
You'll have to write or call to find out if they actually have what you need in stock.
The parts arrives yesterday from GPC .I will have to find a clean and well lighted area to install the safty/decocker spring so I will not lost it again but good news is the spring cost $1.20 and I plan to order several more.
Thank you again for point this out to me :)
