My local gun shop has one of these in. Limited edition, only 2500 made, the shop was surprised they even got ahold of one given they aren't a very big shop.
It's quite stunning in person, with a level of polish to the bluing that surpasses even Colts Royal Blue polish.
I do believe it is also hand engraved, not machine or laser engraved, although I can't confirm that, I'm going by small imperfections I'm seeing in the punch dot patterns.
If I wanted it badly enough I could easily sell a few guns to get it,
But I don't know if a Henry is, or ever will be, worth the $4k they are asking for it.
I'm not very familiar with the Henry large frame brass receiver rifles, are they the same plated brass finish that some of their other guns are?
What do you think? Think this would be a better investment than keeping the 4 or 5 plain jane guns I'd have to sell or trade to get it?
I'm kind of thinking about consolidating my collection from a bunch of nothing-special to a quality over quantity approach, but I'm not sure if this is an appropriate candidate.
