Wisconsin cheese. Of course. Ever had fresh cheese curds? Don't think you can get them in Texas.
Well, unless theres a Culvers nearby......though Im not sure how "fresh" they are, lol. Still pretty tasty, though. :)

Good for Henry! Cant say Im super attracted to any of their current offerings, but if they expanded into handguns, I might bite. Id like to see an 1875 Remington-pattern from them, and maybe a S&W large-frame top-break style too.

Offer them in stainless......oooh, ahhh take my money!

Does Henry still have a NJ office/manufacturing facility? IIRC rimfires have been made in NJ and centerfires in WI.

BTW, This is great news!

HEB grocery here in Texas has Wisconsin cheese curds.
OK, but they're not fresh. Two bits they don't squeak properly. Real cheese heads buy their curds direct from the dairy the day they were made. They start losing their squeak within 24 hours. And immediately if they were frozen. Wisconsin cheese curds bought in Texas are on about the same par as "fresh" Louisiana Gulf shrimp bought out of the back end of a truck that comes driving down your street here in Wisconsin. Just my cheesy opinion, but based on actual results. :D

Cool. I don't own any Henrys but I do like their "style". I want to get a higher powered level rifle eventually and in new rifles it looks like the Henry Long Ranger and Browning BLR are about all that's left.

That's great news and I wish them the best of luck. IIRC they are now headquartered in Rice Lake, Wisconsin although according to their web site they still have a production facility in New Jersey.

Damn! Your post made me want to schedule another trip up there. I haven't been in almost five years and I really miss that "squeak".

The cheese curds we can buy in Texas are like canned shrimp etouffee compared to fresh caught "Royal Red" shrimp.

Don’t own a Henry because my lever gun needs have always been met by Marlin and Winchester, but I applaud their success, wish them well, and hope they continue to grow and expand.

I’d love a double action small frame top break

Nope, and we can’t get Spotted Cow either :(

And if you've ever had "Spotted Cow" on tap, here at Applebee's, you'll seriously think about moving.
You can always swing by and pick it up in bottles, but on-tap, ice cold, it's almost "orgasmic". And if you ever get down around Southeastern Wisconsin, you need to try a Danish, filled pastry called "Kringle". It sorta looks like a toilet seat from above, but tastes a-hell-of-a-lot betta' " :
