Henry is a great American company. They made the original '60 Henry used during the civil war. Today they are one of the best lever action gun companies, some even say superior to the new Marlins.
That would be incorrect. This is why.
Henry Repeating Arms is a great American company. Their lever action rifles are very popular. I will leave the comparisons to the folks who own them.
Henry Repeating Arms, however, did NOT make "the original '60 rifle used during the civil war". That rifle was manufactured by the New Haven Arms Company, which later became the Winchester Repeating Arms Company.
Henry Repeating Arms is a modern company that adopted the Henry name but there is no connection between it and the manufacturer of the 19th Century 1860 Henry rifle.
