Here's what I got-

Sears Ted Willimas 2 3/4 12 Gauge (Given to me by my Father, 35 yrs old, Like new)
Mossberg 535 12 Gauge (For ruff it up bird/rabbit hunting)
NEF youth 20 Gauge (For my 10 year old)
NEF youth .410 (For my 7 year old)
Ruger 10-22 (For plinking)
Winchester single shot 22 (Old gun, used to be my Grandpa's, acurate as anything)
Marlin youth 22, single shot bolt action (for the kids to plink with)
AK-47, with 30 rd. clip (bought this off of a co-worker for $150, what a steal!)
M-1 Carbine (inherited it from my grandfather when He passed away. Almost like new)
Ruger Security six 357 Mag. (Early 150 series, from about 1972 but fires like new, and have never found its equal in ruggedness)
Taurus 24/7 in 40 S&W (great semi-auto, paid $385 for it new, and it is worth every penny. Holds 15+1)

I don't deer or elk hunt, but if I did, my brother has a 30-06 that I would use. Since I have lost the desire to buy further firearms, I need some advice. Anyone want to pipe in?

A nice safe to keep all that in?

How about a nice 1911. We all need one of those.:p

BTW, I have both those NEF's and regularly get into the 20's in trap on the 410. What a great shooter.

I have a 10 gun safe for the rifles, and a pistol safe for the pistols. Bored with buying knfes, ammo, hunting vests, etc. What next?

You don't need advice, you need a new hobby. It's OK not to want to buy more firearms. I'd vote for taking up rally racing.

personally I have 2 hobbies...going to school and shooting. When I get weak on one I go to the other. Right now I'm weak on school...but in six months it'll sway back the other way. Don't know why though.

A Browning Buckmark? I didn't see a .22 handgun on there. Maybe a Marlin 1894 chambered in .357 to pair with your Security Six? Then you can get one chambered in .44 Mag, and then you'll need a revolver to go with it....

THat gives you four guns to go get. Now get a move on!

.22 handgun +1

Add:

Med frame dedicated .38spl revolver. I recommend a used Model 10.

Steel Single action in 9mm or 45ACP - BHP or 1911 recommended.

Daisy Red Ryder BBGun -Just Because. :p

Lever Action in 30-30

1100 20 ga.

870 in 28 ga.

It is written in granite you are supposed to have some stuff. Honest! :D

You do have some of the Old original Shrade Old Timer's put back.

How about some Yellow handled Case knives? Peanut and Trapper are recommended here too. I likes the Case knives.

You gotta have a knife if'n you got a gun. This too is etched in Granite.

Definitely +1 on the .22 handgun. Ruger, Browning, or whatever you like. Otherwise, what are your kids going use to learn to shoot pistols?

BTW, great selection of kid friendly training rifles/shotguns. Now stop neglecting their pistol training. :D

a 22 pistol and a 22 revolver.

a garand.

a levergun.

holy crap, we got this far with nobody suggesting an ar15! (i'm not suggesting one, mind you, i'm just commenting)

Shocking isn't it. :D +1 on the .22 revolver.

A nice AR-15.

And +2 (or +3) on a .22 like a Buckmark or Mark Ixx for a wide variety of reasons.

I didin't notice anything that said S&W in your list either. Lists missing those characters just seem to be shorter than they should for some reason.

---- edited to say ----

Ooops - Never mind! "Sears Ted Williams".

:D

What to do, what to do??

AR costs to much $$$. Wouldn't want to loose the Wife and 4 kids over it. The AK kindove satisfies that testosterone requirement. I thought about a 22 pistol, but I know I would get bored of it and it would sit in the safe. I am leaning toward either another matching security six snubby, or a mega pistol like a 50 cal revolver or a 44 Mag with an 8 or 10 inch barrel (solely for the coolness factor). I know nothing about black powder rifles. They seem like a lot of work for what you get, but maybe someone can convince me otherwise. We do have javalina here in Arizona, and I planned to hunt them with my .357, but maybe there's something better for that also. I don't conceal carry, but if I did I would buy the Taurus Millenium Pro in 40 S&W. Cant beat the price, and I have been fully satisfied with my 24/7. What to do, what to do??

I guess I'm a little confused about what you have firearms for.

Defense, shooting pleasure, hunting, the joy of collecting, SHTF, or something else?

All of the above?

Hard to make a recommendation, not knowing what you want a recommendation for.

Maybe what you meant is, "I want something, but I just don't know what".

So, maybe one of these babies:

You could shoot .357's for hunting, defense, plinking - should be manageable by yourself and the wife, and .38's for the kids. Share ammo with your security-six. Nice williams firesights, cool laminate stock. Daresay you'll be the only kid on the block with one.

How about a nice, legal, registered subgun, eh?
(If your state allows possession.)
That ought to spice things up some.

A scoped bolt action tack driver in .223, .22-250, .25-06, or .243. Very handy for pest control and fun shooting.
A bolt action mid caliber (.30-06, .308, 7mm mag) for emergency venison supply.
A short barrel 12 gauge pump shotgun for home defense and serious social work.
A .22 lr pistol or revolver.
