Has the heritage rough rider been proven to be accurate with the 60 grain Sniper SUb Sonic loads from Aquilla? I have a large supply of them to get rid of and was wondering if a friends rr would provide any accuracy with them. 6.5 inch barrel.

s a 6.5 inch barreled revolver using 22 mag ammo going to provide suficient power for coyote shooting at sorter range? I know in rifles its a good load, hek im told my 22lr is good for coyote. Never tried it, but something else to carry around and not worry about tactical reloads of 10-22 would be nice.

Also are they good for woodchuck and rabbit? Havent had a big population of either this year. 2 woodchucks total, no rabbit.

My Heritage Rough Rider came with a spare cylinder for 22 Mag. After I sent it back and had them do some work on it, it shoots fine with either 22lr or mag. Don't know that I would push the 22lr cylinder too hard with hot loads. As for accuracy, I primarily use mine for drawing and point of aim practice but it hits consistently within a playing card ar 20 ft.

I cannot say much about the accuracy other than tell you to try shooting a few groups on paper as evey gun is different as to what ammo it likes/dislikes. Some are more picky than others.

I can tell you that the 60 grain bullet that you are talking about will most likely tumble due to not having the proper twist rate for that long of a bullet. I have shot them through my 10-22 and Mark II w/ 6 7/8" barrel. They group o.k. but they definitely tumble. Quite devastating on milk jugs filled with water too:evil:
