I can't believe it took me this long to think of this. Why don't you make a photo book like Armed America? You already have so many good photos. If you made them into a nice book I would easily spend another $20 to have another book full of photos of people with guns.

Poster

Yeah, I've been dying for some of those in poster size as well!

I am hesitant for lack of experience with book publishing...also, my photos have not been selling all that well...so I am not sure that a book would, either.

I also think a coffee table book would be a great idea. There are many publishing houses that could print & bind them for you at minimal cost. You could also take pre-orders from THR & your other site.

Photos are one thing; books are entirely another. I think you'd be surprised at how much more interest a book garners than individual high-resolution photographs.

I agree with a possible book for Oleg's excellent firearms/rights related photos, sell through gunshops/Sportsman's Warehouse/Gander Mountina/Bass Pro/etc. I'd buy one for the new house coffee table.

When I look at Oleg's work, I don't really think that it is intended for people who read this board. We already know what Oleg is saying. I would rather see his images on billboards or in newspapers.

The problem of course is paying for the billboards and newspaper space. They ain't free.

I'd buy at least one if the price was reasonable. Like Oleg, I know nothing about how much it costs to put one of those things out. Someone mentioned $20.00. Most of the "coffee table" books I've got cost more than $20.00 and I was buying them off the "sale" tables.

Still I think it might be worth checking into Oleg.

Trust me you should do it. The reason why photos themselves aren't selling is because who wants to hang a picture of someone they don't know in their house? Personally if I wanted a big picture of someone holding a gun on my wall I would take one of myself or my family.

But a nice book full of pictures works great. Just look at how many people bought Armed America.

For your book you don't have to put the slogans and such you usually do. Just take your raw photos with no slogans on them and put them together. If you wish to reach anti's then use the pics with slogans. Either way I would still buy one.

Krause Publications did Armed America you should contact them.

Sad to say , artist like Oleg's work will only be appreciated some time after he kicks the bucket (hopefully no time soon of course ) . A better option would be to see if Pro SA organizations would be interested in sponsoring his work in a book format as a fund rasing effort in support of 2A issues .

An Oleg Volk Calendar?

Oh yeah.

Absolutely.

Nice counterpoint to the "despair.com" calendar in the next cube.

I send cash?

I would love an Oleg calendar. And I would more than love some of the pics in a poster for the 2nd ammend society office. Day at time calendar would rock even more I think Oleg has to have close to 365 images already right?

So did you get re-imbursed by NBC when they did that piece on AR-15's the other day? They showed quite a few of your posters during the broadcast.
