I wonder where the person with the 45 cal Hi-Point carbine purchased his? I was just at the Hi-Point web site last week and the release was still pending. Anything over $300 retail is too much, I'd buy another AK or a Draco Pistol or SKS. I purchased my 995 when they came out in the mid 90's NIB for $125. Once they put the new stock on them, their prices have gone up. The thing that I like about them is their compact size, for $300+ you can get much better weapon. I'd consider another AK or a nice 30-30 lever action, ammo gets a little pricey for the 30-30. I'm trying to keep my ammo down to 3-4 common calibers, 7.62x39, 9mm, various loads of 12 ga., and .22 cal. I would like to have a 1911 style .45 pistol. I have a Tokerev 9mm but that sure doesn't have the take down power of a 45! If you can afford it you need a good ammo stash JIC and not live in a large metro area!

If somone is charging over $300 for the 995ts, they are nuts.
I bought my TS stocked version from Cebala's for $225 and it came with the folding vertical grip.
Even the .40 cal versions are less than $300

I wanted the Kel Tec Sub 2000 because it takes glock mags and folds. But since then 9mm one seems hard to find in my area, I will get a Hi Point in the meantime.
A pro tip for you ... you have to order one, not just hope your dealer magically knows you want one and have him stock it for you.
At the KT/HP price points, no reason not to have both ... if I had to pick one the KT folds and doesn't need a proprietary mag ... but the HP is honestly more comfortable to shoot.

Would you spend $350+ for the Hi Point 45 cal. Carbine???

With the Hi Point 45 carbine, going to be well over $300 more like $350, one has to ask themself about a the small capacity magazine. If the new 45 carbine is around the size of the other Hi Point carbines, it's about the same size as an AR(length). It's up to the individual, whether they want to invest that much, when you could purchase many High caliber hunting rifles or another AK or SKS(if you want tacticool, throw a Tapco stock on a SKS). Granted,Hi Point has a great warranty! Hi point rifles have steadily increased in prices, since I purchased my 9mm in the mid-late 90's NIB $125. I'm interested to see pics and reviews on the rifle but there is no way I would pay $350 for one. One could get a new Winchester or Henry 30-30 carbine in this price range. I think I would rather splurge on an Draco AK pistol.

Cornhusker, the 9mm are not $300+, but it's already been posted that the 45 carbine will be in this prices range.

For some reason I think maybe this in an introductory price and maybe once they see that not as many ppl are crazy about the 4595 as they are about the 995 they'll drop the price.

I'd pay $350 for a 4595.

I already have an AK, SKS, and Model 94 30/30.

I want a .45 acp semi-auto carbine. Nothing else on the market comes in under $500, that I've seen.

The poster with the pics of his rifles and his Katana Sword, is watching way too much Cutlery Corner!!!!!!!!!!!!!:what:

Wow, a thread dedicated to HP pics and yet most posts are showing jokes, a Hp pistol that was cut in half so it looked like it was damaged at a range, and a few good pics of HP's next to other carbines.
This is my 995TS. It's a great weapon and I enjoy it very much.

Hi-Point

I love my 995TS.....:D but I did buy some locktite at Home Depot this weekend.
So which carbine picture is the 45?

Excellent example of a 995C TIMC. Nice looking puppy you have there as well...

On the HPFF I'm still waiting for someone to figure out the dynamics to make the first functional 995 bullpup design...

I dont think anyone will make a bullpup kit for the hi point. I think with the barrel length it would make the overall length too short. I do however really like the ATI stock. If I got one it would get that stock straight away! I am still looking for a ruger PC9 as I have two P95s and the mags are interchangable.

It's just a unicorn that's been wandering the HP forums a long time now, I doubt we'll ever see a working model.

The ati stock just turns the 995 into a beretta CX4 Storm clone...

Have you seen the 995's newer TS stock?
I have the 995TS and I love the look and feel of it.
