My New Hi-Power SFS is giving me blisters on my trigger finger. I haven't removed the mag safety since I wasn't able to punch the pins out.

Anyone got any ideas for a fix or why this is happening?

The only other two guns that ever irritated my fingers were the CZ PCR and RAMI with their curved triggers.

Is this after a 100 round session, or a 1000 round session?

If its the former, you have a problem. If its the latter, its normal for someone who loves thier Hi-Power.

;)

Is the trigger real stiff? What's the approximate pull weight? 5 lbs? 10lbs? Is there a burr or sharp edge? Are you squeezing it too hard during recoil?

Shoudn't be happening. I have had sessions well over 100 rounds with my Hi-Power, and my trigger finger has only been happy.

Hard to diagnose over the Internet...

Sounds like you have one of the rare cases of being allergic to the BHP.
Bendryl does not help with this "reaction".

I am allergic to Aspirin, therefore to assist another member with allergies, I will send you a bottle of Asprin in exchange for your BHP.

Just trying to assist another with a reaction problem is all. :)

It's about 10 pounds, but I don't really know. Well, it's not as heavy as a Kel-tec, but if I had to guess, maybe 8-10 pounds?

I don't think there are any sharp edges on the trigger, but it is kinda curved.

I have the same problem at about the 150 round mark on a stock Hi Power

I love HP's too much to stop shooting them

anyone have Ted Yost's #

Mine does the same thing. After about 100 rounds I'm a little sore. After 150 I'm good and sore. I haven't tried a 300 round session yet, but I'd bet I'd have a blister. Maybe I'll have smith diagnose it for me. Of course I haven't removed the mag safety yet.
