Any Hi Standard guys here?

I have a Model B that appears to be missing a part. I would appreciate someone who could turn me on to exploded parts diagrams and potential parts suppliers.

I would also appreciate being able to conduct a brief conversation via PM with someone who has a passion for these fine pistols.

There three basic versions of the model B and you did not specify which you have.

Thanks guys. From your links, I determined that I have a Type 1A circa 1933. The missing part is the thumb piece (or takedown button) , located on the left/rear of the slide that pushes on the plunger rod. Even without the missing part, I was able to remove the slide with the aid of a small punch.

It doesn't seem to me that the missing part is essential to have.

The part you are describing as missing is the aft part of the retracting rod. This part was a weak link in the design.

So Mr. Stimson, is it, in your opinion, worth fooling around with getting the missing part for a "shooter" piece?
