Does anyone know where I can purchase a Maple Leaf decal similar to those used on WWII Canadian High-Powers? There used to be a fellow on one of the surplus/cruffler type forums that sold them, but I can no longer find him.

Before anyone accuses me of "faking" a collectible, I just thought it would be fun to put one on my Belgian/Portugese Mark III. No way anyone would confuse it with an Inglis. Yeah, I know its a weird idea, but hey, I have had so many other strange brainstorms over the years that this seems mild in comparison! :D

From the sounds of what you want to do, I think we share a common sense of humor.

A number of years back I owned a Datsun 240Z, and wasn't quite happy with it. Got a wild hare-brained idea about swapping out the 4-speed and replacing it with a 5-speed from a 280Z and rear-end (had to find an appropriate drive shaft), but kept the 4-speed shift knob. I know, the looks when I shifted into 5th were quizzical at best.

No idea where to find the decals you seek. Ebay perhaps. A Canadian surplus outlet?

"...Maple Leaf decal..." I seem to recall seeing reproductions some place too. Don't remember where either though. Horrendously expensive as I recall.
The surplus joints up here don't have 'em. Inglis HP's haven't been made since 1945.

I have an Inglis and have been looking for one for a while. I've refinished it and thereby ruined any collect-ability of it.
