High Standard Duramatic Front Sight

Hey, I have an old HS Duramatic M-101 with the 6.5 inch barrel that is missing the front sight. I have checked a lot on online sites trying to find it(Numrich, ebay,ect) but I can only find the front sight for the short barrel model(I think it was 3.5 or something.) Or if they do "have" it, it has been out of stock for over a year. Anyone have any ideas where I can find one? Thanks

The short barrel was, I believe, a 4" tube. You mite have to modify it a little but may work

If Bob Shea is still around, he should have plenty of old parts. He worked at the original High Standard and was still doing work on them a few years ago.

From what I recall circa 1964

I had a Hi Standard Dura-Matic on loan from
an Uncle because his son 7 years younger was a bit young for it. I was 13?
Shot the heck out of it for a ear and then Uncle John took it back.
I had spent the summer mowing lawns and had a few bucks.
I got my Dad to come up with some bucks for the other
half for a S&W Model 18 -22 That front sight and the adj rear
really helped my progression in marksmannshp

I would rate the HS Dura-Matic sights crude but a gunsmith oughta be able to help yah out maybe improve over the stockers.
