Picked up a really nice High Standard Model B, second type. Takedown lever in on the right, ser. number 89141. I would call it a 95% gun. I think I stole it at 325 dollars but my question is, can I shoot hi-speed ammo in it? I've heard yes and no on the net. I think it was made around 1941. Surely hi-speed ammo was around by then, or was it?
I do know that standard velocity ammo barely dribbles out of the gun on ejection, perhaps that is the gun giving me a hint?
I know little about High Standards and this is such a beautifully made little gun.. I don't want to hurt it.
HELP.
