Hey guys, I was wondering what you all had in mind for some very low-priced, but still ok quality ammunition for my firearms. My list includes:

1932 Mosin Nagant M91/30-7.62X54R
Marlin Model 795-.22LR
Mossberg 500a-12 Ga.
Ruger gp100-.357 Mag/.38 Spl

Remember, I would like ammunition that would be super easy on the wallet, but I also don't want to spend 4 hours cleaning one gun after only ten rounds!;)

Thanks for any help guys!

Plenty of surplus ammo out there. Not real cheap, but affordable. Much of it is eastern bloc military surplus so is not the cleanest.

Marlin Model 795-.22LR
WalMart federal bulk packs $13.47/550

Mossberg 500a-12 Ga.
WalMart $20/100 bird shot

Ruger gp100-.357 Mag/.38 Spl
Tough to come by these days in anything even approaching cheap.

I have a thread in General Hundgun with a couple of choices for decent 38Sp/357 Mag. In stock, and of acceptable quality to use either for range or SD.

I've been purchasing these two very items since i've been a gun owner and in 8-ish years i've only had one problem with either. That was a 5 year old shotgun shell that FTF. Yesterday. It was the only one. The others shot just fine.

For the shotgun, I just do some target shooting. I'll toss up some clays and try to hit them...that's pretty much all, lol.

For that, the 100 round packs from Walmart will be fine. I would recommend the Federal as the first choice, then Remington. If they only have the Winchester, I'd check another store. While it seems that plenty of people do ok with the Winchester, it seems many of us have experienced more problems with the Winchester value packs compared to the other two brands.
