but I found all of my former XD's to be innacurate
that is teh first complaint i have heard like that about an xd. how much time and trigger time did you get with them. my xd service model gets 4.5" at 50yds. that is good enough for me and i am sure that it would get better with practice at that range. accuarcy has never been a problem for me in my service or my sc model.

I had a hard time making that decision myself, as I love both the CZ 75 line and the XD line, and I shoot both guns well. You really can't go wrong with either, as they're both reliable, highly accurate firearms. Here are the things that pushed me toward the CZ:

1) I already had a CZ 75, and I was told the RAMI takes CZ 75 mags, which is nice for range use.
2) The XD slide is very tall and blocky, and I think it would not conceal as well as the CZ.
3) The CZ is significantly cheaper.
4) The CZ can be had in polymer or alloy framed versions.

Other potential CZ advantages:
1) "Cocked n' locked" carry (manual safety) if you're into that.

Some XD advantages:
1) No manual safety to fiddle with, just point and shoot.
2) If it's a CCW gun, LaserMax makes an internal laser sight for the XD that replaces the guide rod for the XD, but doesn't make one for the CZ.
3) "American" company - actually made in Croatia, but owned by Springfield, if you count that as an advantage.

Both come with 10 round and extended grip, hi-cap mags, so you can get a full grip on either of them if you so desire. Or, you can just use the flush 10 rounders and conceal it more easily. Really, it's like deciding between a Mercedes and BMW.

I would suggest showing your customer a P2000sk. I think it is an excellent carry gun. I would also look at a Glock 26 as well.

I was deciding between 4 guns (Glock 26, CZ RAMI, XD9 SC, and P2000SK). I opted for the CZ for the reasons listed above. It's by far the cheapest, and is no worse in terms of quality than the Glock or XD. The P2000SK is not really all that subcompact--it's a lot bigger than the other 3. The Glock is a nice size, but I can't shoot Glocks to save my life, and I hate the grip angle. The P2000SK is WAY more expensive than the others, also.

Just some things to think about.... I just made this decision not long ago.

When you compare marketing between the two companies, the fact that the CZ is almost tied with XD in this poll should tell you that the CZ is a better pick. More happy customers per the amount out there.

I've had both and IMO the XD wins hands down.

Now on to your customer: If they are having a hard time deciding and willing to put the decision up to a poll I would say they are not the most experienced shooter and may not spend as much time behind the trigger as many of us here.

With that said I would strongly suggest the XD (or any striker fired pistol that feels good in their hand) over a SA/DA for the simple fact that trigger pull is the same every time.

People who don't shoot a lot tend to get screwed up on follow-up shots with an SA/DA.
