No, it wouldn't. The "recently passed Federal law" has nothing to do with city parks. It dealt exclusively with National Parks. Not even National Forests, just National Parks. The feds wouldn't have jurisdiction over city parks anyway. Furthermore, the law didn't say "carry is legal," it said that "carry is legal if local jurisdiction permits it." If the parks in question were National Parks, and if they were within the jurisdiction of the city, the city would have the authority to ban carry (state preemption notwithstanding).It should be:
Do you think the BMA should overturn the recently passed Federal law that allows holders of lawful concealed-carry permits to carry their firearms in city parks?
That would be more balanced.
