Hogue AK furniture is some good stuff!

I had Santa slip me a new fore end and grip for my Mak 90. The rubber/fingergroove grip makes a HUGE difference in feel and controllability. I never liked the stock wood or the Tapco replacement grip. I looked at Magpul, but I wanted some give rather than another hard plastic one. The fit is tight, the screw is short and totally concealed in the grip.. you could probably store a cleaning kit and tools in there. Nice palm swells.

The fore end has the capability of railed sections and pop-out vents for better cooling but I really just wanted the grippiness of rubber. Fitting took some light shaving with an exacto blade and the fit is VERY tight. The lower part of the fore end is flared for a better grip, the upper is a hard plastic.

Somehow I managed to pinch/cut myself TWICE (while not using said knife). Took time to me sure I didn't get any blood on the rifle

AK's have some sharp places when you take them apart.

The Hogue felt like hard plastic for me grip wise. So I went with the magpul moe grip.

I recently went with a Magpul grip. I like it even better than the excellent US Palm AK grip. Personally, I've never been a fan of the "tacky" feel of the the overmolded Houge grips on any firearm.

Different strokes, I love them on ARs, AKs and handguns. Not a big fan of the Hogue AK handguard but to each his own.

I use the Hogue pistol grip on my AK pistol.
Works great.

I have never liked the stock grips on AK's, it seems a vast improvement.

I have the Hogue on my AK-47 and the Magpul on my AK-74. I like both equally, though finger grooves are not a universal fit.

Haven't tried one on my AKM but put one on my AR and love it. Much better than the hard plastic black domino grip they come with.

^^If your rifle is a standard AK pattern, then none.

That furniture looks cool.
I am a big fan of Hogue handgun grips. Also of their Ruger 10/22 stock.
I guess I will order a set.

They are already on their way to me.


I should of told them, no rush. The gun I am going to put them on is something I have owned for 4-5 years and never fired it.
