I appreciate the comments, as it's all starting to come back to me now. However I was wondering about the Berry's plated because I do not recall seeing anything like them.
Best I know is that Berry's is the only company producing a Hollow Base Plated bullet such as this. Concave base is no where close to the hollow base of these bullets.
Just wondering, has there been a real life comparison between plated hollow base/concave based bullets vs the same weight/shape bullet with a flat base published?
Western Powders Data 6th edition. although they do not list the same RN bullet they do publish data for the RN and HBFP of the same weight with the same powder such as the 9mm 124gr Accurate #5, RN 5.4gr @ 956 fps Start,, then 6.4gr @1116fps max.. 9mm 124gr HBFP 4.9gr @ 929fps start,, then 5.8gr @1069fps max. Silhouette, True Blue and AA#7 show similar results with these.
Then in the 45acp they have separate data listings for the Berry's 185gr plated SWC, FP and the HBRN and they are all different so I don't know if that answers your question.
I think the only Berry's hollow base bullets I shot were a few thousand of the RNHB thick plated bullets. They shot well for me also. I don't think I ever bought any of their FPHB 1200 fps bullets. They're not familiar to me, I don't know anything about them.
